Help,

When I rendered this scene, there are weird elliptical lines that show up ONLY when a particular model moves.

I'm using lines in the guarding section to simulate wire mesh (mesh is commonly used in these types of industrial installations. The lines are then "rendered as lines".

I didn't think it was an issue till I ran the presentation through the projector. They stick out like a sore thumb.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rodney,

They only appear when the robot in the center of the view moves.

It's an articulated robot so each joint is capable of moving independantly.

Th lines seem to radiate back to the screen section in the top right horizontal postion, regardless of the direction of robot.

I'll try rendering the series of frames without the "render as lines" on and see if it goes away. It may take me a while to try that as I need to travel for a couple of days.

thanks

I have seen lines like these caused by klieg lights. It's been a while since I last saw this, but try changing the shadow type, or width softness.

Thanks,

I'll check it out.

I'm using keylights and Rim lights.

There is a setting for width softness but not for shadow type.

Thanks,
