MMZ_TimeLord
Well, I was moving on to another vehicle for my project and, thanks to the wonderful Osprey U6 tutorial by JohnArtBox, I was able to complete this in less than a full day! THANKS JOHN! I was nearly finished and realized that something didn't look quite right... I changed the engine size and now I'm really not sure which one looks better. What do you think the one on the left or the on the right?
lazz
I like the second one more. But what would it look like if you pushed the engines back a bit. So the front covering of the engine would look more like a part of the wing. They're both excellent models though, but I think the second one is a bit more proportionate. luckbat
Agreed. The right one. Note that the engines are very organic in shape like the original Osprey, but the fuselage is quite flat and mechanical. Could you play with the curves on the fuselage to bring it more into line with the potato-shaped engines? Make it more... bulbous, somehow? MMZ_TimeLord
That was a good idea... I had already begun doing that... here is where I'm at... pretty much finished, save for the cockpit, and a few minor details. I think I'll also merge the wings to the center section to make it look more "complete".
MMZ_TimeLord
Update: Rigging almost complete for the scout ship. I have all the control surfaces rigged to pose sliders and a throttle slider that changes the control vanes and the engine flare size and length. Two renders for your viewing pleasure...
