anzovin Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 We're now taking orders for our new CD-ROM tutorial "A:M QuickStart, 2nd Edition." http://www.rafhashvideotapes.com/ With more than 2000 sold, "A:M QuickStart" has been Anzovin Studio's bestselling tutorial since the first edition was published almost two years ago. This edition is entirely new for Animation:Master 2004 and contains even more detail about how to use A:M's many powerful features for character modeling, surfacing, rigging, and animation. The 4 hours of video tutorials on "A:M QuickStart 2" are given by Anzovin Studio's Nat Stein, lead instructor of the UMass character animation course originally developed by Raf Anzovin and Bill Young. Nat takes you through everything you need to know to build, texture, rig, and animate your first character in A:M. The large-screen (800 x 600) movies are crystal clear and the audio is easy to understand. Related project files are included with each video section. There's absolutely no "fat" in this material. Editor Dave Boutilier has tightened Nat's presentation so every minute is dense with data. No waiting for long and boring onscreen operations--only the good stuff has been included. Major topics covered: Introduction to the A:M interface * Basic modeling * Basic surfacing * Character modeling * Bones and constraints * Character animation * Using choreographies * Lighting and Rendering The regular price for "A:M QuickStart, 2nd Edition" is $40, and it is available now at the Anzovin Studio Store: http://www.rafhashvideotapes.com/ We also are offering a special $15 discount for anyone who already owns the first edition and would like to get the new one. To qualify for the discount, please type the Anzovin Studio order number for your original purchase of "A:M QuickStart" in the comments field of your new order. We will enter the discount when we process your order. This offer only applies for customers who purchased "A:M QuickStart 1" directly from the Anzovin Studio Store. Also, if you received your recent order of A:M QuickStart 1 between July 10 and July 22, please contact me directly for a free replacement. Hope you enjoy it! gugesbri Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 Steve: On the Anzovin site it says: "Do you already own A:M QuickStart? Type your QuickStart 1 order number in the comments field of your QuickStart 2 order and receive $15 off. Applies only to copies ordered directly from Anzovin Studio." I purchased "QuickStart 1" and "AM Mastering Materials" from you guys some time back. I don't have the QuickStart 1 order number any more? How can I prove that I own the above mentioned products to get the "upgrade instant rebate" for QuickStart 2? binder3d Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Does the upgrade apply to only people who bought quickstart 1? Quote

negative9 Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 I placed a purchase on the cds saturday, and optioned for the downloadable, so I could get it right away(AM 2004 was purchased sat. as well), but there doesn't seem to be anyway to download it after purchining it. Yahoo says I have no downloadable products from you. Am I missing something? Also, if I knew It wouldnt be availbe immeditaly, I would have optioned for the cds...can I still go that route? //negative9// aka Geoff Doty Quote
Mega Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I may be wrong, but the downloadable option pertains to software purchases, like WeightMover or TSM. If you were to download the contents of two CD's...yikes! Even with a cable connection -- your talking a very long wait! Also, Steve have you received my email regarding my purchase? Slight confusion for billing/shipping. Sorry... Thanks, Tony Quote

Most folks still aren't ready for 1.2 GB downloads. --Steve Anzovin Studio Quote

Morphy Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Just wanted to throw in a few words of recommendation for any other newbie users who are wondering what to do after Art of A:M. These CDs are just superb. The Art of A:M is great as a quick intro to the programs possibilities, but it left me feeling I'd acquired a wonderful toolkit, but still had no real idea how to use the tools, or even what some of them were. For anyone in this situation (and I suspect there are a lot of us), these CDs are absolutely perfect. A little while ago I purchased the first edition of the Quickstart CD, and was still working through it when edition 2 was announced (for some reason this almost always happens to me when I buy computer stuff...) Anyway, unlike some companies, Anzovin treated me really well. I was also surprised to see that all the tutorials were totally redone on the most recent version of A:M, with no re-hashing (no pun intended) of old material. I'll shut up now, because I'm probably starting to sound like a commercial - I just wanted to say that the CDs are a great help, and that I'm a very happy customer. Quote
