CreativeAustinYankee Posted May 8, 2004 Share Posted May 8, 2004 Looks pretty good. Somethings I noticed: His lip coloring might want to be slightly darker, to help accentuate the mouth. Just a little darker. His hand doesn't seem to match the rest of the character. The fingers are fine, but down toward the wrist, where the thumb meets the hand seems kind of flat. I know most people on the list don't speak french, but if i had registered my voice in english, it would have been so terrible you still would not understand what he says. To Steven: You are right for the contrast of the lips, and i have changed the color already since that render. The hands, i am still working on the modeling, i have not copied the left hand yet. I do have a hard time modeling nice cartooney hands like some of you guys achieve. Thank you for the tips! To Amar: Yes the dynamics are off. Actually that test was done in a earlier beta version, the hair was rendering pretty fast, but unfortunately with the new release the same settings won't work, for some reason i am trying to find. heyvern Posted May 9, 2004 Share Posted May 9, 2004 The only thing I would say right off the bat is to exagerate the lip synch, but you already mentioned that so... I love this character! He is really...uh I can't put into words. Kind of "Burtonesque" (as in Tim Burton). He kind of creeps me out but in a really good cool way. You may want to talk to him before he gets in front of the camera next time. He should try not to party so late and at least try to straighten his tie and comb his hair! I like the "Burtonesque".(the spell check could not suggest anything better) The translation for the name of the show would be literally "Gossips first". So when i talked to him about partying, he told me it was all about journalist integrity, he was a terrain guy that would even drink alcool if there were gossips to report. He also told me (he is a mean guy sometimes) that you are not quite ready yet to use french for dating. Fun to read your comments!
