Tore Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Net Render draws lens flares with other settings than set in scene. The error has been reported to Mantis, but as usual it is not possible to upload pictures/files, so this post is primarily to upload the attached picture. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 12, 2016 Hash Fellow Posted February 12, 2016 Tore, if you could also post a sample PRJ and render preset that preserves all your render settings that would dramatically improve the chance this will be taken up quickly. It wouldn't' have to be your whole scene. You could probably strip out everything but the light and the camera. Quote
Tore Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Here is the PRJ containing the light, camera and settings. I might be wrong, but to my eye it looks like Net Render overrules the lens flare settings in the PRJ/Camera settings and renders the flares in their default settings. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 12, 2016 Hash Fellow Posted February 12, 2016 Also need a "preset" to make sure both renders are done with the same settings. Go to Render in A:M, check all your settings and then hit the "Save" button on the right to save a .pre file. Quote

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 12, 2016 Hash Fellow Posted February 12, 2016 I tested this in the v18p beta A:M... NetRender... Quote
Tore Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Thanks Robert! Exactly the same as I get. Netrender apparently doesn't read the lens flare settings. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 12, 2016 Hash Fellow Posted February 12, 2016 I also notice that you can't turn Lens Flare ON/OFF in the Chor, it can only have the setting the light has in the Objects folder. Quote
John Bigboote Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I've found other features, like DOF... need a preset in order to carry-over to NetRender. This sounds like a disconnect between the Lens-Flare in A:M and NR, needing a bug report. For the record, A:M's Lens-Flare options and ease-of-use are industry-leading! Quote
