Tore Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 As a kid in the late fifthies/early sixties, I loved watching a stop motion series of very short films on danish tv, starring a dog made of folded (origami style) paper. I think it was british, and each sketch started with a man's hands folding the dog, which then came to life. No dialogue as far as I remember. I have tried to google it, but can't find anything. Could be fun to watch it again. Any of you know the animations? Quote
NancyGormezano Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) I am not familiar with the series - but some quick googling came up with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snip_and_Snap "Snip and Snap was a 1960 British animated series from Halas & Batchelor. It was directed by the Danish paper sculptor Thok Søndergaard (Thoki Yenn) and John Halas. It featured the exploits of a dog (Snap) made of paper and pair of scissors (Snip)." perhaps this info can help you google further EDIT: another link this last link actually has images and a video Edited December 20, 2015 by NancyGormezano Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 20, 2015 Hash Fellow Posted December 20, 2015 that's cute. It reminds me a bit of the short Hash did long ago of a dog that was constructed of cut out shapes. "Fluffy"? I didn't know you were allowed to cut the paper in Origami. I never was. Quote
Tore Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 Ahh! That's the one! Thanks for finding him, Nancy! Yes, Robert, I remember the Hash dog with disjointed limbs - it was somewhat avantgarde for the time. Not to forget Nancy's own, very chic cut out animals :-) Quote
