Anyone been to Alaska

planning a vacation anyone have "got to see things" in Alaska ..besides the Polar bear in the Anchorage airport (saw that on way home from Nam)

I think that polar bear is still there, they have a grizzly tucked in the back that sleeps most of the time.

 

Spent nearly a month there. Was in Anchorage then headed south east to the Kenai river and Moose river area. Fantastic place to go. Eagle River just outside if Anchorage is amazing. If you plan on doing any fishing the Sockey are still running until a couple of weeks into August, try to get them closest to the mouth of the river so they aren't spent.

 

Kodiak Island is supposed to be worth going to, didn't get a chance when i was there.

 

There is also the Eagle Lady in Homer which is fun for about 4 minutes tops.
