Visually interesting use of packing tape.

That's pretty cool.

 

I know it'd take away from the physical aspect of the art but I can see someone adopting that technique digitally to make animated imagery.

 

psuedo code:

place rotoscope

cover base layer with strips of horizontal (or vertical) tape

begin loop

trace/layer in darker area with opposing direction tape

trace/layer in darker area with more tape

optional parameter: randomize placement by twisting tape if desired

loop until all hues accounted for from rotoscope

remove rotoscope

 

 

Just imagine if computers screens were initially designed with layered tape rather than lit pixels...

To clear the screen you could just apply a coat of white paint.
