There was an item on the radio here this morning that talked about "The worlds biggest free firework display".

If you have a clear sky with you this evening then there are to be a lot of shooting stars in the sky.

I looked north briefly but we have too much light around here. We look south from our windows and have to go outside and walk a ways before we get any decent viewing, so may go put later(after midnight) and have another looksee.

We had very clear skies here in rural east anglia and I only saw a few, very briefly.
