*A:M User* Roger Posted October 3, 2012 *A:M User* Share Posted October 3, 2012 Everyone remembers Bob Ross. But there was another guy that used to have a painting show on PBS. It was a German guy and he was big on painting with a knife and would always say things like "and now we fire it in". I cannot for the life of me think of this guy's name, though. Anyone out there know who he was?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 3, 2012 Hash Fellow Share Posted October 3, 2012 The internets says it was William Alexander? http://youtu.be/0umr1SE2M8M
*A:M User* Roger Posted October 4, 2012 Author *A:M User* Share Posted October 4, 2012 Yeah, that sounds right. I probably should have just googled that series of tubes we all love so much, but I like querying my fellow AM folk. My favorite quote from that link you posted: I can just see him and Bob Ross duelling it out with paintbrush/paint knife. Ze Mighty Fan Brush! Don't fail me now! Hmm, I think I just had an idea for a fun AM project.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 4, 2012 Hash Fellow Share Posted October 4, 2012 Sounds like there's a movie in that. I see Phillip Seymour Hofffman as William Alexander and Will Ferrell as Bob Ross. Probably not in the same movie though.

If he were going to do it as a serious role, maybe but I don't know. Not to mention, in like 90 percent of the movies he is in, at some point you're going to see Will Ferrell's butt. This is not something that can be unseen.
