markw
Firstly dose anybody know what "Exception #035" is ? I'm getting it every time I try and bake particles and then A:M locks up. Mac v16b and v17beta. Here's a test project that consistently fails for me, maybe someone could see if it fails for them too. Or am I just doing something wrong again? The zip contains the .prj and the .tag sprite images used in it. Secondly, for speedier rendering I would like to use NetRender. Do I need to bake particles before rendering? Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 4, 2012 Hash Fellow Share Posted April 4, 2012 I gave it a try in both v16 and v17 on my PC and it sailed right through. See if you can get a mac user to try. Maybe it's mac specific. Secondly, for speedier rendering I would like to use NetRender. Do I need to bake particles before rendering? Yes. That's a major reason Baking was introduced. You can try, but it's likely the particles will get confused.
markw
Thanks for trying it Robert. Maybe it is a Mac specific problem... Would anyone else with a Mac like to try it and see what happens?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 5, 2012 Hash Fellow Share Posted April 5, 2012 If it's something that fails the same way every time, that sounds like something to put into AMReports http://www.hash.com/reports"" target="_blank">http://www.hash.com/reports If you haven't been reporting already, Jason can set you up with a password. markw
Yes it fails every time for me. I have also made another new test project and that went the same way 10 for 10! so I've posted a report about it. Thanks again Robert.
