jannus850 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I will create a new model library (or use My library) and fill the library with all my new models. However I will not copy the models one by one but copy all the models as a total cluster into the library. How to do that. Quote
zandoriastudios Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Have the Library window open. Have a folder open on your computer with the files that you want to have in the Library. Drag and Drop the files into the Library pane, and it will make shortcuts to those files. Done. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted April 1, 2010 Admin Posted April 1, 2010 Will's technique is straightforward and works every time. If you are on a PC you may find the little program Rusty and Glenn Anthofer put together to create Libraries: A:M Library Manager Glen also used Autokey to program another useful utility; Render Done. jannus850 Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 All my new models are organized in maps and these maps can't be copied to the library pane, but the A:M Library Manager will do and works great. However I do'nt see the jpg images of these models in the library pane. Manual assigning all these images in the file properties costs a lot of time. How can I do that in one step. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted April 4, 2010 Admin Posted April 4, 2010 How can I do that in one step. We currently cannot assign Library images in one step to materials. Each resource has to be assigned individually. Sorry. One of the easiest ways to do this manually is to open a whole lot of resources at the same time and then close the resource (saving it in the process) immediately after assigning the Library preview image. I managed to assign a hundred preview images to materials in about five minutes using this methodology. In this way you know what resources you haven't assigned previews to by which are still open in A:M. In case you aren't aware... for most resources to assign a preview image you just right click in the window and create the Library preview there. Quote
