OK bad puns aside i do have a question . i have a model setup to unfold in about 5 different movements and though that i could get the pose option to preform this . i attached bones to all the models parts and tired to set up a pose to do it but its not working . there is an option on the bottom that looks like the time line for the choreography but it does not seam to work . am i using this correctly or is this not how the poses option work

Poses are not setup via the timeline but via the slidervalue.

Open the Poses-Window (View -> Pose Sliders) and adjust the slidervalue to what you want it to be. Then move your model.

Go to another posevalue (if needed) and do it again.
