It's looking pretty good but I can't tell for certain how much hip rotation you have. It seems under rotated to me. I like to judge walks from a side view and multiple (like 5 or 6) steps. With one step you can't see how it hooks up properly. I do like the character quite a bit - his clothes look spot-on.

Well with Jirards head model,where are you Jirard.A walk cycle ,done with the 2008 rigg and hardley done any smartskinning that rigg just seems to get better to use as long as I remember to cfa the model lol

 

I know you're just dong a quick experiment with the model right now, but in the tuts link in my sig there are a few videos on keyposing walks that you might find useful.
