chopper Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Hi forks I can't get the Patch group mode (shift+p) to work, is it only me? The cp's do not take on 15e please help Quote
Admin Rodney Posted March 14, 2009 Admin Posted March 14, 2009 I can't get the Patch group mode (shift+p) to work, is it only me? I can confirm this works as intended in v15e. Have you ever used the process before? If not here are the general steps: Select Patch Group Mode (Shift P) Click on a valid patch If you don't click on a valid patch nothing will be selected. Quote

Admin Rodney Posted March 14, 2009 Admin Posted March 14, 2009 Perry, I edited my earlier post to indicate my results. It most definitely works in v15e. Now we just need to figure out why it doesn't work for you. Until you supply more information we must assume user error. (User error here also encompassing installation and maintenance of your computer system) That's the nature of the beast. We all can sympathize with things not working. Now we just need to get to the root of the thing. Some things that will help us understand better would be a screenshot, information on what operating system you are using, steps that you take in the procedure, etc. "It don't work" doesn't help us with determining much of anything. Especially when we see it working on our end. Please help... so we can help you. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted March 14, 2009 Admin Posted March 14, 2009 In the off chance that this is graphics card related and you are on a PC... Go to Tools/Options and on the Global Tab change your driver setting from OpenGL to Direct3D. If its set to Direct3D change it to OpenGL. See if that doesn't make a difference. Make sure you are in a Modeling window when you test. Quote
heyvern Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 If you try to select 5 pt patches that have not been "created" yet it won't work. You must select a legal patch. That's the only thing I can think of. Also if you are using the patch group tool and do anything else it reverts back to the "regular" tool. Yes, the tool works for me with v15e. -vern Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 14, 2009 Hash Fellow Posted March 14, 2009 I can't get the Patch group mode (shift+p) to work, is it only me? Does the tool icon change when you do this? Try turning it on with the icon. Quote
