Bren Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I spent 3-4 hours attempting to model a face for a character of mine, and made pretty decent headway. I've got about a quarter of the way around, and things are pretty smooth. However, I attempted to put hair on it and quickly discovered that the normals, every single one, face inward, towards the center of the head, rather than outward, where hair would be desired. My question is, do I have to select all 200+ patches individually and flip them, or is there another wat that shall take much less time? I ask because, knowing my luck, it shall happen to me time and time again. Quote

Bren Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 select all. right click Flip Normals . .. ... ................ Thank you. And now, I shall slam my face against the wall for several hours. The weird thing is, I selected several patches manually, and it gave me a completely different set of options. Quote
heyvern Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Select all the points or patches and hit the "F" key. Same thing. Sometimes my "hand" slips when right clicking... or I right click in the wrong place. Or maybe you don't have complete patches selected. Not sure why you would get a different set of options or why "Flip normals" wouldn't be visible. -vern Quote
