material as fire

i was wondering if there is a way to make a material have fire come from it , i know that this is most likely the way its done but i can find out how to do it ,

A lot of these questions are posing here would answered if you had done the exercises in TAoA:M. There's a tut in there that shows you how to make a fire material.
