flashawd Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Hello - I attached an image - I am using fluids and getting a black circle outline on the water droplets. Is there a setting under the fluid emitter or something that is causing this? Thanks - Eric Quote
John Bigboote Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Yup---that's strange, alrighty! What V of A:M are you in? My first instinct is that you are using multipass set to 1 pass, for speed...and that if you increase the passes the outline will become softer... Quote
flashawd Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Hey John - thank you, that was it. The Multipass was actually off - didn't even know it was there. Here it is set a 16 - it's making everything else a little blurry - I'll try different settings. Thanks again, for your help. -E Quote
John Bigboote Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 WOW...that looks GREAT! LOOK at the refraction in each droplet! I'm happy to have helped. Keep us abreast of your experiments! Quote
flashawd Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Definately will - I don't know how the rendering time is going to work on this project for me... see what I can do and I'll post. Thanks - E Quote
John Bigboote Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 You may not need 16 passes... you could possibly get away with as low as 4... Quote
flashawd Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 This is odd... instead of having one emitter pointing up and having the "fluid" go upward - I decided to have 4 at angles - 2 pointing toward the right side and 2 the left direction. For some reason the only one showing on the render is one of the emitters pointing toward the left. The really odd part is I can see the shadow and reflection of the fluid in the water on the left and right sides, but not the red fluid. Anyone know what might be going on? Thanks - Eric Quote
