not very clear as to what you are asking the splines look like the are wrapping around to the other side which is normal unless you break them.. use the twisted arrow tool with the mouse and rotate your view and read the beginning of the manual

The splines on the left should not be there at all. The splines should end at the center line (the Y-axis). All your CP's should be either from 0 and positive in the X direction or 0 and negative in the X direction.

Also, make sure that the CP's on the Center line are really on the center line and not just close. You can end up with very strange results otherwise.

It looks like you deleted half your model in order to do a copy/flip/attach.

It's "normal" for those splines to be there after the delete, since A:M doesn't know you are about to do a copy/flip/attach.

but in your case you don't want them so break them before you do copy/flip/attach.

When I delete half my model, I do this:

1. SAVE the model + project

2. Select the points I want to keep.

3. Press Ctrl C to copy

4. Press Ctrl A to select all the points

5. Press <Delete> to get rid of all the points.

6. Press Ctrl V to paste

It may seem complicated, but it does mean that you don't have to break the splines like you have to in this model.

Try it once. You'll like it!

that's a great tip, Caroline.

One caveat ( i just discovered)... if you've assigned weights to the CPs you're wanting to copy and flip, the mesh you get after step 6 wont' have them anymore. You'll have to do it the old fashioned way.
