flashawd Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I am refreshing my memory with the online Ref Manuel for Hair/Fur http://www.hash.com/Technical_Reference/v110/Hair.htm They refer to "Stiffness" below - I am just not seeing that setting in the Hair System or Hair Emitters properties "Stiffness: Controls how stiff or ridged each hair strand is. The stiffer the value the less affect dynamics and forces such as gravity has on the hair. This value is a percentage to adjust all the child Hair Emitter's Stiffness values." Has it been changed or located somewhere else in v14? -E Quote
Fishman Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I don't have it open right now, but i think it has been moved under Dynamics. If you turn Dynamics on, your get the property triangle that reveals the stiffness. I think the logic is that if you aren't using dynamics, then the stiffness has no meaning. Someone changing the stiffness properties without dynamics on would come to the conclusion that it doesn't do anything. Hope that helps, Scott Quote
flashawd Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 Scott - thank you, that would be it. It was under - Dynamic Options - Targeting - Stiffness -E Quote
John Bigboote Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 -and---only if the targeting is 'constraint', and not 'spring' or 'none'... Quote
