I'm planning on modeling a robed character based on the atatched scan (if it works....), I could use anyone's advice on how to model and rig this guy--- i'm thinking about actually making the ends of the arms and the end of the bottom of the robe into cloth....but i'm wondering if that might look weird.

 

anyways, any help at all would be great, i'm a noob and havn't started modeling yet. thanks!

Looks cool... so what exactly do you want to know? I would start modeling it and if you are that far, we can talk about the model, splinage and after that the rigging.

Just upload some WorkInProgress-images and we will help you if you need it :)
