Daniel,

Alignment can take on different forms depending on where you are in A:M.

For instance, in the Modeling window you can Right Click > Snap to Grid any Control Points you have selected.

In a Choreography Window you can Align things by typing in coordinates etc.

I'll try to drum up a good example of newer alignment controls (since v11) to demonstrate this in the Chor.

Added: Within the Chor one type of alignment people don't often consider is alignment with respect to the camera. A great way to align things there is to group them (you can name the groups and set the pivots for later reuse) and align on the fly. Hold the 1, 2 or 3 keys down and that will restict movement on the various axis.

Good question!

Rodney AND Luuk Steitner, THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR ANSWEARS....

I like to share this short video, hoping 4 your help!, but first, i have to ask if is it valid to upload videos in this forum...if not, can u give me your e mails, so i can be able to send the video to both of you?

In this video, as you can see, the guy just type something in the keyboard and the

points just aling in the Y axis...how he did that? WHAT IS THAT "MATHEMATICAL ZEROING"?

when he says "nudge it", what he is referring to?

REGARDS!!!

DANIEL.

My email is linked in my signature: rodney . baker @ gmail . com (no spaces)

You'll want to consider any copyright on the video before posting and size limitations apply on uploading in the forum. If you can grab a screenshot (Print Screen Key) from the video that might be enough to clue us in.

Daniel,

Oh yeah... I understand now. Creating the semi-perfect sphere!

Here's a version of that that I created many years ago!

or just the animation without the screen:

What is being done there is moving the splines away from the Y axis to make sure the lathing is smooth.

You can just select the spline and use your arrow key (on your keyboard) to move the spline one position over.
