creating control points

trying to create a new model, do you make a stright line when adding control points, hit the add key and hold down the shift key while draging the mouse the lines come out with a curve, need help

I'm not quite sure I understand what it is you are trying to do. Can you clarify?

 

Holding down the shift key when adding CP's to an existing spline preserves the current shape of the spline.

 

If you are creating a new spline, holding down the Shift Key doesn't do anything (as far as I know).

you need to peak it, select the spline you want and click the peak icon to the right, theres one curved and one like a triangle.
