Parts of my model move in Choreography...

In this model, the gun is over the soldier's shoulder. In the Modeling Window. And in Bones Mode. But when introduced to the Choreography, it jumps down below ground level. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Is the gun modeled as part of the soldier model or is it a separate model?

The gun is part of the soldier model. It does have its own bone, and there are no keyframes in the Choreography. The whole trooper has been Constrained to Path, tho' not at the moment. [i deleted the old trooper and am trying to bring in another copy.]

Since my initial post, I've discovered another copy wherein the gun hasn't moved. I may just proceed with that, tho' this is strange.

Maybe the gun wasn't a hierarchical child of the character?

This is one reason to consider Action Objects in similar cases.

The act of making the weapon an Action Object (as a separate model brought into the first in an Action) would be similar to making the weapon's bone a child of the character's bone. It basically does the constraining for you.

If the bone was just a separate piece unto itself it appears tp be doing exactly what you would have told it to do in the choreography (if it's not somehow related to the other bones); namely not to be effected by the other bones.

Another way would be to constrain the weapon to the character in the Chor but personally I don't think that as effective as an Action Object.
