new legs on my tripod

Recommended Posts

ok after the discussion on the "rig my tripod thread" i have decided to remodel the legs to make it taller and to make it easier to animate i also made it so the geometry wont warp when the rig moves to far

here are some pics of what i have so far

wow that looks great. but in my own opinion, the legs seem a bit to wirey. personaly i would have put coverings on the legs facing out, and have moving pipes for the part of the legs that are facing inward.

other than that you got a sweet looking model there

i'm also thinking about replacing the tentacles with arms similar to the legs and have claws on the end of them to make it look more menacing and more easier to animate and replace the heatray arm with one similar cause i just noticed that the geometry warps abit on the heatray arm

It's a good start, but whenever any character lifts a leg off the ground, the rest of the body has to lean the other direction to stay balanced. Hopefully your rig is equipped for that kind of shifting around.
