Paul Forwood Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Is it possible to have TSM2 installed and operable for more than one version of A:M at the same time? For instance, can I use TSM2 with both A:M 11.1i and A:M 12.0t? I can understand, if this is not possible, but I just wanted to know if there is something I have overlooked and don't want to go attempting to install it twice if it might cause problems with file paths for TSM2. Thanks. Edit: Okay, the installer ensures that previous versions of TSM2 are un-installed before installing a new version so I guess it wouldn't be possible to have it installed in two locations at the same time but can one installation service two versions of A:M? luckbat Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Huh? TSM2 is just a folder with some plugins in it. You can just drag it from one plugin folder to another to make a copy. I run TSM2 in both v11.1i and v12.0t, and it runs identically in both versions. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Thanks, Luckbat! Good to know it's that simple. _______________________ Edit: Thanks, Morgan, for your clear and precise answer, below. Quote
Morgan Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 The installer-maker we use automatically asks you to un-install previous versions, but it really isn't necessary for TSM2. You should be able to cancel the un-install and install a second copy to a different A:M folder, or copy the files manually as Luckbat suggests. Be sure to grab the three TSM2 hxts and the TSM2 folder. There are some support files in the main A:M folder that you may need to copy as well, depending on your system configuration: MFC71.dll, msvcp71.dll, and msvcr71.dll. Let me know if you run into any problems with either of these methods. Quote
