vealti
I'm trying to create some 2D props with my scene. I have a pic of a tree with an alpha saved as a 32 bit TGA. I would like to apply this to either a plane or box and have just the pic of the tree visible. I've tried the decal feature but this still shows the geometery of the box it is stamped on. How to I set the transperancy so that only the tree is visible? While I'm at it, is there some place to get a detailed reference on the functions in AM? The manual that came with the software isn't very informative beyond it's tutorials.
nimblepix
I'm betting something is wrong with the way you created your alpha channel. How did you create it? There are lots of tutorials over in http://www.lowrestv.com/arm/ Here are some technical manuals and such. http://www.hash.com/htmlHelp/index.asp and of course your disk came with a technical manual on it. johnl3d
change decal type from color to cookiecutter
vealti
change decal type from color to cookiecutter I created the targa in Photoshop and saved 32 bit. Unless Hash needs the file to be created differently than I would for say Premiere or After Effects than the file is fine. I'll check the links mentioned and also try the cookiecutter and report back. Thanks for the help.
vealti
Changing the decal to cookie cutter on a plane works. Thanks. I also was able to check out the Animation Master Handbook 2000 from the library. That's helping a lot too.
