Williamb Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Any suggestions especially as regards to decaling and lighting appreciated Quote
MikeSanderson Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Modeling looks great!......Nice work! Good to see a realistic, "Normal" figure without Overly Enhanced attributes. Lighting maybe a bit brighter on the Rim Lite. Your shadows look grainy ........what are you using? If it is a shadow map up the resolution on the map. Decals look just fine, it all depends on teh resolution you will render at. Again, Nice Work!! Quote
Williamb Posted June 23, 2005 Author Posted June 23, 2005 Thanks Mike, I was definitely going for realistic, but I don't have a clue about decaling this model. I used the David Nagel skin technique and brushes but did a poor job. The tint of the face and body look different because they were modeled and textured at a different time. Is it possible to flatten both the head and body at the same time and come up with a good high res decal? Quote

entity Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 The hair map's group is before the skin group... that's why her head has that dull overtone... Move the hair group in last place of groups... or after the skin group. She could use another group of finer hair at the forhead to blend the hair edge better. Use the same hair map. Quote
higginsdj Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 The chest area looks a little like a male chest with a couple of breasts stuck on each side. You need to smooth this area out and have the skin of the breasts merge closer to the centreline. Natural breast aren't just stuck on, treat them as weighted areas of flesh on the chest ie partially fill a ballon with water and see how it acts on the 'skin' of the ballon. Note that the decal is not lined up with the nipples. The clavical (?) bone structure at the top of the chest/base of the neck, should have a little separation. The hips are a little too narrow and should be obviously wider than the ribcage. The bikini lines looks drawn on rather than natural. Try to get the lines even and add some bluring along the edges. Would be good to see some side and back views including shaded wireframes. Overall it is a pretty good model. Cheers Quote
