forevernameless
I decided to do a little test to see how the rig works. As you can see there are a few problems. Though I'm sure it's do to my bad modelling. -The arms really need work -The shoes go through the pants - The pants go through the shirt The shoes twist at akward angles The knees twist argh back to the drawing board As you can also see. I didn't try for realistic movement. I was trying to show where it messed up. Now he looks like he belongs in the matrix rig_test.mov
jamagica
I decided to do a little test to see how the rig works. As you can see there are a few problems. Though I'm sure it's do to my bad modelling. -The arms really need work -The shoes go through the pants - The pants go through the shirt The shoes twist at akward angles The knees twist argh back to the drawing board the second one: How do they go that far? did you model the shoes so that the top went all the way up into the pants? The third one: This one is not because of bad modeling. It has to do with rigging...I have an idea for how you could avoid this...you'll have to post up a screenshot of your rig The forth one: once again, a rigging problem The fifth one: If you are using targets for the knees you could be positioning them wrong These are just assumpations...if you post up a screenshot of your spline structure and your rig I could help you more
forevernameless
I think i figured out the shoe problem, the top control points were assigned to the calf bone instead of the foot. Here it is. I used Mark's (mtpeak2) rig.
forevernameless
here's another test after some tweaking. I don't know if this is any better, i probably made it worse rigtest2.mov
mtpeak2
The problems I see are bad bone placement and cp assignments, also the hiden bone. I could take a look for you if you want. I'll send you my e-mail and you could send me the model and I'll fix it.
forevernameless
hey that'd be great. I've modified it since my last post, i've deleted some bones (probably not a good idea) and made some new assignments, but I'm really just shooting blind here. mtpeak2
Jamagica, have you tried my rig yet? It's available in the rigging forum. Let me know what you think. I think Tenez did a good job of installing it, since he never used it before. It's not as easy as the 2001 rig, but it's better (I think). What about everyone else that downloaded it and Jamagica I'd like to here your thoughts on it, good or bad.
