JohnArtbox Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 I hate to leave something half done, but it'll be a while before I get a chance to get back to this. It was started for some Skycast tests and tutorials. There has to be a better way to build a car. Quote
dreamin3d Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Hopefully this is the right place for this. The work in progress is not the model but more my learning how to use Skycast. It's just a grey shaded 32patch spher on a grey shaded ground. I used the sky and grass dome picture and the twin skydome light model, everything else is default except as indicated. With some surprise, I notice that increasing the rays cast doesn't necessarily increase the render time by a multiple of the number of rays. COOL! Have I mentioned that I'm impressed with Skycast? Nice job Artbox! Quote
dreamin3d Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Hey John, I like the way the reflections show with Skycast! Quote
Mega Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 I agree, Skycast is looking amazingly well. I only had a chance to test it once, and I really liked it. I can't wait for the final release...hint! Also, any animations done with Skycast? Quote
pabloschmid Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 @JohnArtbox: This car looks really good! I think there is no good finished car in A:M yet. Yours has a very good potential! I would be very happy if I can see a finished object which shows the quality of A:M car modeling! go on...! Quote
