Thanks for all the comments so far everyone! I am home visiting the family for the weekend and most weekends until school starts. But I will definitely be adding a whole lot more to the city and other things through out this week. I have never been so anxious to get back to work on something. I am really liking what i have done so far for this years video.

this is amazing! i am insanely addicted to minecraft so seeing this was just awesome.
-
This is awesome. I really wish i was better at making human heads... that is my weakness but this is great man!
-
Looks good!
I would recommend using Jasons default cho. lighting setup. It gives great lighting with short render times.
Where would i find that?
-
Well Now there is a second building in the picture. There is no door because this is the side.. the corner of the street is to the right of the picture. Sidewalks are probably to come next. Or more buildings... these are fun.
i am making my own textures now... only one not mine is the red brick.
sidewalks were next:

Well I am back once again. This years video should be a lot more detailed I am hoping but the rendering will kick my butt. But it will be worth it.
So i will just keep posting screenshots of stuff i am creating. Just keeping my progress up because i wont show any of my family so i want someone to see my progress and maybe help me out with some advice!
none of the lighting is final.. and some stuff wont make final cut because of memory and rendering.

Here it is.
Set-up---- I am the main guy. Caleb. I click the button. And make all the people show up at the place to play the tourney. And they are inside jokes so some may not be funny.
yes. sound effects are top notch. but honestly purposely made it that way. thought was funny at the moment so lighten up and enjoy it.
hope you like

Well it appears as though i am just like thanksgiving now. I only come around once a year with something to share. But i want to go ahead and get this topic on here so people can look forward to what i have done this year. I've definitely stepped up from last year's video but only in the fact that i am doing more animation and videos rather than pictures for the individuals in the video. And several of the scenes i went into some detail creating but didnt go to photorealistic given the look of the characters. I started on the video late this year or i would have redesigned the characters but i really like the look of these guys and they are fun to animate.
This is also done quickly so some details like fingers wrapping around things and small things like such were not really in the video because i am just trying to get it done.
So i will just post a screenshot for now and once the final video is complete i will show it on here.

i am not so good with making people and characters yet but if you need help with making props or anything just let me know i'm up for doing some things like that and wouldn't charge either. i am not the best but i am willing to do it for free.

pretty collection of character. Does AM support how much point (spline)?
Gratien
It depends mainly on your computer's speed. This was a pretty high spline project for my computer . It got really slow several times. I could not even render it on mine or it would have taken weeks to get done.

Don`t want to loose it, because I still have the proversion on this.
Hahah Oh man.
Try this one.

Can`t see it, because you obviously used some music that you tube has blocked for my country.....
For you and any others that the video may not work. This link should work for everyone.

I enjoyed it. Looking forward to this years version. Enjoyed the credits, too. there's nothing wrong with me, I just enjoyed Mayers music. Thanks for giving the Sharpie Corp. the credit they so obviously deserve and so seldom get.
Ha yeah the moment we finished rendering out the DVD for that one i was already thinking about next years version and had some pretty awesome ideas. Im hoping to start even earlier and have an even better one then then what i just did.
I thought that was great! To be a little nitpicky... don't forget to use spell checking.
At a glance I saw two spelling/grammar mistakes; 'your... instead of you're' and 'beleive' instead of 'believe'.
Correcting those may seem trivial but... attention to detail!
You've got some obvious time and effort put into this.
Very well done.
I look forward to your next production.
Thanks. Yeah those spelling errors were because of my uncle He was writing the things while i was in another room finishing up stuff and i noticed it when we looked at in on the DVD but it was too late to fix them.
Thanks tho for the comment. I cant wait to start next year's.

Well this is the Final video.
The editing is not that great. And that is because we made it the night before thanksgiving.
So there is a lot of stuff that maybe you will not want to see but you can watch it all if you want.
But i did all the modelling, all the rigging and animating, the lighting. All me.
But here it is. Enjoy! [hopefully]

Wow this is really good.
I love how you are just doing this to have something to use ... Can i uhm, have those skills of yours if they are just being used as placeholders.

I just bought netrender update and have at least 12 computers for rendering. Now that being said I have not finished my new server and will be this weekend. You can email me through the forum and we can talk. How long is the animation? I render wrangled for TWO and have done other small project renderings for others. So long as all the chor and setup are completed I will see what Ican do.
Steve
the animation itself is not that long. well actually i am not too sure right now. i change stuff all the time. there is no plan for this project. i just make up stuff as i go. but i wouldnt imagine more than 2 minutes worth of rendering to happen. i have not animated all the choreographies yet but i soon will so i can give you time to do them whenever it works for you. i am at school at the moment so for some reason i cant send a message from the forum to you. so you can just email me at
and i can talk to you better through there. -
I can't help render, but you might get more inquiries if you alter the thread title to "Rrendering help needed for..."
Is there any way to change the name of the topic.
or do i need to create a new thread all together?

If anyone has payed attention or if ive forgotten to mention the past two years i have made a video for our Thanksgiving Carpetball tournament.
Each year it has improved immensly and each year i think i wont be able to out-do myself.
But i have once again.
I have modeled all the people that will be in the tournament to be involved in the video. I am not the best realistic modeller but i pulled off a neat cartoonish look for everyone. With a few modifications and different outfits and hairdo's i say this turned out pretty awesome.
I have also [using the 2001 skeleton rig] rigged all 20 something people.
Everything has been done by me and none others .
Here are some of the characters and some snapshots of the scene in which they will be in.
But. Because i like to out-do myself i want to render the whole thing in HD 720p.
And my computer just cant pull that kind of stuff off.
It approximately takes an hour to render just one second of animation.
So if there is any advice or anyone willing to help me out it is greatly appreciated. i have school every day so rendering all the time is not really possible for me. What i mean for help is if anyone given the animation file already ready to render would render scenes for me if they have faster processors or whatever is needed for fast working computers.

haha. thanks for the replies so far.
I think i might try and make some type of video with some piano song.
I think it would be good animation practice for me. And this guy is so fun to work with.

Well i dont know if i should follow through with something like totally awesome or just throw out this teaser trailer as a joke.
but either way i wanted all you people to see what the great power or Boredom can do to a person.
so enjoy.
hopefully
comments are welcome. and critics. and if you had a bad day and want to make yourself feel better. you can bag on it. i do not mind

I have 2 models that just might fit the taste of this Post? Use Freely.... (You Might have to IMPORT these into an AM project?)
hey i will have to ask my friend about those
they are nice models and thanks for the contribution.
whether they are used in this project or not thanks for lending them to us.
-
wow.
im gonna have to say that i have had this program for a few years.
and i still cant model a head like you have.
congrats
-
well .. this project still coming along slow.
havent heard from the main guy in charge.
but me and my friend are going to try and start a site.
we wanting to all things involving graphics.. games, 3d art, 2d art, animations, etc.
no main focus as of right now.
but we are calling ourselves Luova Productions.
and i made a simple intro animation i thought would fit into this WIP.

p.s. i do not do sound effects. :/
-
Well.. I know yall are used to me not finishing things. Its a bad habit of mine.
But this project will be completed. My friend that is the "Middle Man" that i count on got his internet taken up because his dad turns off his internet at like 10:00 and he still needed it so he began hacking and hacked into the router and his dad found out after a while.
And i wont be able to work on it until he gets it back. And who knows when that will be.
So yeah this is not a forgot project.
i actually miss workin on it
