  1. I agree Bruce. I contributed to TWO as well. I did the bedroom for Scarecrow and after that just sort of lost interest. The Oz books are okay but I don't really find them that appealing. I prefer original works with quirky characters.

But from the posts here I can see that another feature will be a long way down the road, if ever.

I started the current contest in hopes of seeing more users, especially beginners, getting into AM and just producing something. With a 3 month window even uncomplete entrants are welcome.

I myself will not be stopping on Woke Up Dead Rodney. It's the first project that I have started that really keeps my juices flowing and I hope to see it finished.

    As I stated...just fishing a little hehehehe...

  2. Great news! We are finally to the point where we can begin the story boarding process. I'll be constructing a sound booth in my house to record audio! Things are getting crazy!

  3. A little update for anyone who reads this.

Me and Rodney have turned this into a little group project I guess you could say. I've been finishing up the script rewrite and he's been proof reading it and giving me great insight and feedback. I'd have to say we make a good team.

Hopefully we will have it finished up soon and can start the animatic!!!

    Stay tuned...

  4. I always hit Newegg and start comparing hardware for a new system. Once I find a piece I like I shove it on to my wish list. Once I have a complete system there I simply add ro replace anything I don't like or need. It's a good way to tell how much your spending.

  5. Just seems a bit floaty from one word to the next. His mouth slowly closes and perhaps it needs to be quicker during the long pauses. It could just be me. I would definitly have his mouth a bit more snappy with that dialogue but again, it could just be me.

  6. Wasn't sure where to post this so I posted it here as I will be refering to AM.

GPU rendering. Is it faster and if so are there any plans to incorporate this feature into AM? If it was implemented I would pay a little extra to get the functionality. I think GPU rendering, if faster, would be worth more on the over head price of AM.

    ...any thoughts???

  7. This is one of those "Personnal Preference" topics. It's a matter of finding a solution that works for you. I tend to use the auto assign function and then I open up an action window and pose the character in the most extreme poses I can think of. I usually start with the knees, and fix those. Then I do the elbows and wrists. I do these first because they are the easiest to work on. Then I tackle the shoulders which takes a while. Then I do the pelvic area and work my way up the spine.

This is my usual train of thought.

Hey Nancy! Nice work with those links!

  8. It took me a while to come up with a concept for Death. I mean I really been racking the old noggin on this one. If some of you remember a while back I did two skeletal models. After careful consideration and about a billion drawings I returned to these two models and decided I liked one in particular. Not everything about him of course. I will be modifying him quite a bit but the overall style fits in nicely with what I am looking for. So, here he is with a few said modifications. He still a work in progress so I will be posting more picks as I finish him up.

Of course Death has two different looks. The one I am showing here and the final one near the conclusion of the film. For now I will be working on this, his main look.
