how could anyone force a celebrity to stand still for a straight on and full profile shot?
ah! try....

until the real answer comes, here's a workaround:
- copy the part of the model you want to copy/flip
- paste it (moving it precisely where the original is, if you've got a paste offset)
- set the x pivot to zero
- set the x scale to -100
- flip normals
- attach splines on the centerline as needed.
that's old school, for ya!

bleh... nothing's worse than a trasporter accident.
i'm hoping for a furry, digitigrade lady with whiskers and a tail, but take your pick.

let's hope not... next month should be toon!

the joker's laugh, like all the other audio from the series, is protected by copyright, so...
legally? no.
illegally? can't say.
-jon
ps: there's no joker laugh on the cartoon network site, but at least you can hear the far superior original theme!

yep, depends on what you're modeling.
for a person: bad.
for a soda can: good.

for me the struggle is with fully shaded characters and tri-tone toon shading.
fully shaded usually wins.

we're prolly not members of the same generation, but i still agree. ' ' )

happy birthday everyone!
the delay gets longer as time passes, so eventually it will roll over and send us email far before the personal messages are sent.
i can't hardly wait!

the teaching part of fair use does not seem to be limited by classroom work, but the only certain way to determine if your use is legal is to be sued and win.
i'm sure most animators will have no problem with your project, so asking for permission is a painless way of minimizing your risk.

i've tried in the past to get more detailed voting results out of steve, but i've never been successful.
of course, it could have been my crappy attitude. ' ' )

in the walk cycle, there's an odd lump above each knee on the inside thigh.
that might be what's freaking jzawacki out.
otherwise, she looks pretty good!

if you're just testing the animation, turn off shadows. it'll make her easier to see as well!

each old school, off-the-cd install of animation master is keyed to one cd. downloaded versions of animation master prior to version 15 are still keyed to one particular cd.
you now have multiple versions of animation master installed on your machine. if you installed v14c and still clicked a v13 install, you will still get an error.
some folks have been having a cd check error on v14, so you might be doing everything right and still get this error.
make sure you're running the right version, and then contact steve@hash.com directly.

my oz cd is version 14, not 13. you know... the one with only two updates for the year?
version 15 doesn't want a cd unless you bought it on a cd.
i think. has anyone actually bought a v15 cd?

i ran it on vista x64 for a few months, but eventually went back to vista 32bit.. the vista drivers are a little more stable in 32.
not anything directly to do with animation: master, but still noteworthy.

porcelain is a special material that does some kind of "normals averaging" thing.
i throw it on most of my model's skin, but sometimes remove it from lips and nose areas.
try it... you'll like it.

let's all wait while blackjack finds a new computer after throwing his last one out the "windows".
names are meaningless, do what you want demon... no matter how twisted or pointless to others.

she's coming along nicely! the webbing is a nice touch... but it's hard to make out black on dark purble.
there's a whole world of hair design locked into the emitters. with practice you can style it however.
...but i still use lumps of geometry for hair, so you might want a second opinion. ' ' )

do any of your instructors have samples of their expertise online?
also, you might want to wait until you have more than one 100mb zip file before your start promoting your site.

i guess i was too vague:
- i found it ironic that niblepix -- perhaps an alias -- was giving someone grief about being anonymous, when (s)he hasn't even set their gender yet.
- i found it sad that carmello was starting a relationship with grammar critiques.
i usually wait a few weeks before bashing someone, but then i'm a gentleman.
for the record, mr. wells is (perhaps) part of a video services company where spanglish is spoken, and where the winter has just officially started-- in northeast usa, http://www.creativevideocorp.com
welcome again!

feel free to ask away, but be prepared for some pointless replies in between the pearls of wisdom.

in a word: hooks.
consider doing a few tutorials before attempting to create a face. it's one of the hardest things to model well in any system.
