this thread is a good example of the confusion i'm talking about.

 

Parlo is offering to help the questioner, but his reply will not be seen on the list, where the first two messages originated.

 

i don't see how both sytems can be maintained indefinately in this one-sided way.

 

i do prefer this forum to the list, but my little brain just can't juggle both.

Messages coming from the mailing list still have the list tag at the end of the message

okay, slightly less confusing, but the big policy question stands:

 

will there be two seperate but equal communication mediums, or will the mail list be phased out if the forum proves wildly successful.

it's going to be a bit confusing trying to figure out if a post is a native forum message, or a ported mail list message.

 

it would be kinda pointless to respond to a mail list question in the forum if the poor person who asked the question is only on the mail list.

 

is this part of a transition to a forum system, or will both be maintained indefinately?

 

i would prolly prefer the forum over the mail list, but right now, i don't know what to read!

so the parent bone with dynamics applied acts like an anchor? i've only just started playing with 10.5 with mostly good results, and am greatly looking forward to dynamics.
