  1. Thanks oakchas, I have updated the link above with a looping version but the playback is in slow motion for some reason. Checked the frame rate too but lets you see the loop... a bit sticky in places so I will have to try smooth those out more. Thanks! There are fan bones there but I will have to tweak the weighting, thanks for pointing that out. Cheers!
  2. Hi All Here is a link to the walk cycle I just did with the Lion character. I could always add more overlapping action, etc. but must move along, as they say... MamboLion walk cycle Cheers!
  3. Thanks robcat, I love a challenge. Doing a walk cycle right now and will upload a link when it is done. We'll see. Thanks jon I have rigged the face with some eye expressions that seem to work... we'll see how it all pans out. Cheers! Thanks to everyone else for their positive responses. Stay tuned.
  4. Thanks jirard, here's a wireframe: Haven't figured out how to render a wireframe without the CPs showing (even though they are set to no in the "Show CPs")
  5. Thanks for all the feedback. Ya, it does look a bit "doggish" now that you point it out. A shorter snout would probably make it look immediately more "lionish". I may try that actually but I had a cool, Scar-like look in mind (Scar from Lion King - his snout is quite elongated). I rigged it myself from scratch following Barry's rigging DVD. The look and feel of the video doesn't fit with the use of hair so it will be flat shaded to match this style guide: I will likely play around with hair on this character once this video is out the door and I have some spare time... ha, ha, right. Here is the original design: Here are the rotoscopes:
  6. Hi all I had posted these in the tutorial section and thought it might be wise to post them here for more feedback. This is a character I have created for a music video I am producing for an Indie recording artist out of Buffalo, NY. It is going to be a combination of 3D and 2D. Please let me know what you all think. Cheers! They were created with the great help of Barry (Bizzle) and his amazing A:M Training DVD Bundle. I just finished rigging him and I will be modifying the model into a lioness soon. Storyboard is nearly complete and will be going to the client this week. Enjoy!
  7. So it's confirmed... I am officially daft. Thanks, I'll give it a go. Cheers!
  8. Yes, I follow these instructions: 1. open the "v13_Five_Finger_Squetch_Rig_Posable_Installation_03_05_2007" model. 2. Import your model, 3. SAVE AS "your models name_install" so you don't override the rig or your model. 4. Open an action and follow the steps using the pose sliders. But when I get to #4 and open a new action from my "your models name_install" , I get all the sliders but no "steps" to follow and the sliders do nothing in the actions window.
  9. Okay, I must be daft or a complete techno-loser... I am a relatively new A:M user and have not rigged in it before. I have a character I want to rig and I'm trying to use your rig plug-in. I haven't even made it past the 4th step. When I create a new action after "Saving As", I see the pose sliders but I don't see any steps to follow as it says in the instructions. Moving the sliders has no visible effect on the bone positions or lengths so I can not position the rig within my character. I am obviously missing something. I am using v13s. Sorry to be such a dork. Can you help? Thanks
  10. Thanks guys, I appreciate the welcome. My next 3D project with a decent timeline will be done in AM as a trial by fire... my favourite way to learn a new piece of software. Nothing like motivation I'll keep you posted. Cheers!
  11. Hi all My name is Brent Lowrie and I am a new user of Animation Master. I have been animating for over 15 years and have used other, more expensive applications for 3D animation over the years. I am starting a new studio on May 1st... Anomaly Animation Studios and will hopefully be using AM2007 as my primary 3D tool as Avalanche Software and Momentum Animation Studios have. To that end, I will be running through the exercises to get up and running and will be going for my certifications as well, so you can lok for my work in the exercise threads. I also hope you take the time to check out some of my work at www.anomalyanimation.com. Thanks! Brent Lowrie Anomaly Animation Studios
