  1. Thanks Grubber, Here's the project as it currently stands if you want to pick at it and see how it works. Enjoy! -Drakk shiptest_early.zip
  2. Update: Project finished and available for playing with... This is just an FX shot that im playing with. The main model still needs to be textured and finished, but the FX are pretty close to being done.. just need to fade the particles out before they die.. 600kb quicktime can be found here. Feedback welcome -Drakkheim
  3. Can't believe i missed this thread earlier.... Wonderful as usual Jim. Must say, Those shoulder splines area work of art man. -Drakk
  4. Very nice! How about using pens with erasers as the steering mechanism/rods and maybe a zippo lighter (the leather covered ones) as the seat back, just to reinforce that 'made at home' feel? Anyway, i hope you'll post more as your project progresses. .. (great, now I want to go and make something...stupid job gettin in my way again.... ) -Drakk
  5. Hey that's looking pretty cool! Only I wonder his suit jacket seems to be expensive and perfectly tailored to him but his pants are very ill fitting and baggy. Maybe he should throw himself at his tailor and either get the jacke let out a bit or the legs of the pants shortened a bit, depeneding on which look he's going for. Just seems a little odd to me. anyway just my $.02 -Drakk
  6. Actually I hadn't noticed the slippage! Guess I have been starting too hard and too long on this to notice... as for the jump I was trying to suggest the transfer of momentum from the backswing tourquing him into the jump.. I guess it didn't work as well as I'd have liked. Time for more research I guess. Nothing like a good excuse to go watch a bunch of kung fu movies. as for the model I buildt him for the cgTalk contest Here, details on him can be found under the gimpy dwarf thread.
  7. Now that I've finally finished a character I figured I might as well try this animating thing that I've been hearing so much about. I guess this could technically be my first animation not done by following a tutorial. SwingingSword link (.44mb on2 mov) running time ~3seconds C&C more than welcome. -Drakk
