what's wings3d? how much is it?

I still can't get over this! It's very good work. I've tried making my own unique character before, but I just can't get the mouth. How did you go about that? Did you model it all by hand?

Wow, nice! I'm not sure when I'll be done, because I'm not done with the script. No planneed release date yet, but when I have one, you'll know. I'm not quite sure how I'll do the explosions, I've been looking for ways over the last week or so, but can't find any good, firey ones. I might use sprites. WHat were those other programs you mentioned? For my reference I am using "The NEW Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels" by Haden Blackman.

Another Update:

I'll have some wires up soon! This is all by eye. I am using the Star Wars guide to vehciles which has some pictures of em and i'm getting some details fromt he movie. I basically start at a point that I think I can get into the most detail without going offcourse on making a likeness of it, then continue from there to the end. I don't wry about too many patches because my computer runs very well, so I can make one shape out of many to simplify things.

I realize the cannon length is a bit off so far, but I'm going to tweak at the end. Here's reference:

I'm beginning another model for my fanfilm, the SPHA-T (Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery Turbolaser). I'm working down fromt he tip of the cannon. Here's what I have so far:

My modeling skills have come pretty far from where I was a month ago, but I am still pretty bad at texturing (that's why nothing is textured yet). If I can't get decals from the actual model in the movie, should I make my own or just use materials? I am a REALLY bad texturer.

Well, here's the lowdown: -I am doing this as a solo project -I am putting together the elements I need to recreate some Clone War battles -I'm going to send my finished film into TheForce.net Fanfilms -The story is called Clone Commander and it follows a Commander through the war and you see what's going on from his point of view Please post any questions. I am still writing the script, but I am concentrating on the models right now. If any of you out there like Star Wars, I will be releasing all of my models on the internet for free after I release my film. By the way, I had ALOT of spare time and I've about finished the Dwarf Spider. Here it is:

While I was working on my Hailfire droid, I got bored trying to find textures (which i WILL do later ), so I started a Dwarf Spider Droid. Here's the foot:

I'll post an update soon with the finished model. I am having trouble texturing it. Not enough reference... Even when I get reference, it will be hard to make the right textures.
