  1. I couldn't resist the new version: version of A:M: 17 SSE4 render time min:sec: 2:17 CPU Brand and model: 2600K Actual CPU speed in GHz: Stock how many cores A:M is using: 1 RAM: 16gb OS: Windows 7 Business(64 bit)
  2. i found my texture to be a bit flat.. so im working on this old lady skin to make a new emperor..
  3. starting my last character for a star wars short
  4. this is strange.. I too.. can not see these files anymore lol.. oh well.. I'll post em on my site at one point.. I threw that together last night... I'm now going to look vain and stare at the mirror for a bit to plan some splines lol
  5. i was just experimenting with how much the model could warp without too much texture warp.. here is the model at a bigger size .. no lights.. just AO
  6. starting to create poses
  7. a couple more details texture maps cleaned up a bit.. eyeball created..
  8. now that AM has all these cool rendering features like AO... its time to have fun with it.. I tend to light my models first and see if there are any probz.. you can tell that I need to fix near the forehead (flat) and the bottom outside of the eyes.. (spline popping out)
  9. Do yourself a favour and visit the fish market or frozen fish section at your nearest grocer... We found it useful to scan fish on our scanner (YES.. you should use some sort of plastic or clear sheet to protect your scanner lol).. but it gave us some great textures... great model! Darryl
  10. the hair... actually.. all i did was use the good old hair plugin!!!! First time using it.. and I have to say... I've used many hair systems.. BUT THIS IS BETTER THAN ANY OF THEM.... and they all cost at least 5 x as much of the total cost of animation master.. (my background is maya) I groomed the hair.... and all I did.... was get a nice dark rich brown colour.. and ad some white specularity... and played with the percentage.. which was around 5-7 percent... Im trying to replace all the flat hair with this digital hair now.... removing the eyelashes.. etc..
  11. I'm getting sick and tired of looking at myself... i need to work on the eye a whole lot more..... so Im hitting the sack with this as the status so far...
  12. ok... so i went for the old hair cut I had from the 80s.. lol I'm off to make the ear.... (Shudder!!!!!)
