This is a quick update of my work. The head is attached and I'm getting close, however something at the top of his back is off and I haven't even started working on his butt. Please critique

This will be my first attempt at helping someone else with a question as I am usually the one needing the help. So here it goes, sometimes I get a distortion if the normals are not flipped in the right direction. Just from the pic I would guess that you need to flip the normals and see if that fixes it. Good Luck!

Ok, I just sat the head on the body to get the dimensions right. There is something not quite right so if you can see it please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Yes, I made sure it was set at 44100. But if you have any ideas please help. Thanks

Thanks. I'm afraid it is a bug because i have checked the file several times in other apps and have no trouble.
-
the only setting i can find is under tools, options, sound, and it says playback 44100 is what i have sellected. The only odd thing i can find it it is saying that there is no sound file loaded when i do have one loaded. Also, on the left side under master playback volume it won't let me choose a volume or put anything in the boxes.

I am having trouble with the sound quality after I render my project. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I use multipass?

I noticed the that you changed the 5 point patches into 3 point patches. Does that cause any problems with the look.

So im working on this boy charactor and I want some texture to the hair. As you can see it looks more like some kind of freakish shell than hair. Any suggestions? C&C welcome

Its not "wrong" or anything. I think that it might look more "average" if you blended the legs of the pants into the (what do you call the part of pants that are not the legs). You have a distinct cut between the two shapes. I, personally, am working on some clothing for a currently naked model. The construction technique that I am using, which is showing some promise, is to model the item is it is put together in the factory. I took a razorblade to a pair of tennis shorts I had laying around and disassembled them. The important part for me was seeing where the heavy seams are and using them as foundations. An example is the relatively sharp crotch seam in a pair if shorts. Its not a nice arch. It comes to a pretty sharp point (where the two inseams meet underneath) unless you are more pear shaped, as I am, and the fabric has stretched. Clothing and the human shape are SO difficult as they are so familiar to us that we pick up on the smallest mistakes. Pep talk over! Back to work! Thanks for the advice I'll keep working.

Ok here are the changes. However, I am going to be using sonofpat's rigging and so I think I have to go back to the way I had the leg transition to the hips. Vash thanks for the suggestion on the hips and I'm sure for a normal rig it would work better, but for sonofpat's rigging it won't work. Keep the suggestions comming. I made the feet bigger and I still think they are a little funny looking. I'll have to fix that.

Sorry about the large package. That happened when I changed the way I went from the legs to the hips. I'll fix the problems and post again.
