Welcome back old chum! Does this mean we'll be seeing your old tutorials posted online again soon?

If your bluescreen isn't evenly lit, then even AE or other compositing programs will have a problem keying the footage.
However, the plus side is that these compositing proggy's give you more control over the keying than A:M would, which might allow you to adjust it and remove the pesky patches!
In the end, remember when shooting blue/green screen, to always try and get an even lighting across the surface.
BTW, if you have the cash, and already own AE or FCP, I recommend dvGarage's dvMatte Pro plugin. It makes for a wise investment if you're going to be doing a lot of blue/green screen work.

Actually, the current mascot is Briar Rose and Gorden Bellows by Steven Millingen.
Wouldn't that be "mascots"?

Last I heard, the guys behind DUALITY were working in the Hollywood system now, in part because of DUALITY. In fact a few months ago, one of them that posted regularly on TheForce.net's FanFilm Forum mentioned that he'd be leaving the forum due to paying projects.
I guess if you love doing it, and you can get paid, then go for it! :-)
As for me, I start shooting my Star Wars based short this winter.

I read page 1 and 2, does that count?!?!
And isn't it 193 pages? Page count goes from 1 to 185, then you've got first physical page (1) then the copyright page (1), then five (5) pages of ToC, and then one page with no number, but the image by Darcy Brooker (1).
185 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 193.

I dunno about a website, or how many people are involved, but some of old timers know about this secret project... And I for one am glad to see it moving forward!
Good Luck, David & Gang.

You need to get some new mojo, baby!!!!
I too have seen this, but have been unable to duplicate it in any fashion. Someone told me that if you're running XP, that it might be caused by having the Hardware Acceleration Write Combining enabled. I haven't tried turning that off yet, but... <_>

Ah, but the Thunderbird 2 could also be classified as a ripoff of the rocket/spaceship designs of the late 30's onward. Look at some of the old serial based movies dealing with spaceships and aliens!
As my friend Mitch is so fond of saying -- "Everything's been done, just change it and make it fresh somehow."

Ok, finally had some free time to sit back and watch this... I LOVED IT!!!! Had my sister-in-law laughing as well. Good job!

Just like to point out that SFX usually stands for SPECIAL EFFECTS. At least that's how it's been explained to me by people in the movie industry!
So, Sound Special Effects would make some sense.....

It's IRC chat time again and every one is invited to take part. You can pop
by anytime but things tend to get rolling at 5pm PST (-8GMT for you
international types) and we talk till we all get to tired to type.
This week is the same as every week, same Hash time, same Hash channel...
You will need a chat client:
mIRC for PC folk
For the Mac for Mac folk
Then you need to point it at the server:
irc.freenode.net
or
obnomauk.dnsalias.org
and use the port 6667
Once connected you want to /join #hash3d and there you go!
See ya there!

As I recall, when Icarus was made commercial, they stated that the free version could no longer be distributed. Much like nVidia and Exluna did with BMRT.
So, if you get a copy I probably wouldn't try hosting it.
Just my 2 cents.
