  1. Tobias, I do have to say, that is one of the most creative and refreshing characters that I've seen in a very long time on any 3D related forum. The main element that I like about it, is the feeling that I get when I look at it- I want to get to know this guy, he looks very interesting. Great job, and keep 'em coming...that kicked my ass to get some characters rendered that are in my head also! Again, awesome job! Cheers, Noah
  2. Thanks, Dearmad... Yeah, there's going to be A LOT of fan bones in her rig, as well as a custom rig that I'm building for her dress/skirt. ------ <Newbert_Zero>"even though you were going for the flat head look (at least i think you are) I think its a little too flat. I think it would look better if you could see a chin." To respond to your comment Newbert_Zero, yes I am going for the "flat head" look, but I feel that adding a chin would take away from the flow of the sillouette of the character. Thanks for the thought though. <Kamikaze>" Fits very well with todays cartoon look....I see it working well on the nick...toons networks....Smile very nice" Thanks Michael, that's actually the look that I hoped to achieve, I'm glad that right on track! To all.. I've attached another WIP image, this time with her dress lengthened. I think it adds a lot more balance and appeal to her design, and overall sillouette. Oh, and don't worry, I'm not going to use ClothSim (I don't have yet, anyway-but plan to buy it sometime in the near future). Victor (Navone) had a great suggestion that I save myself the render time and headaches and just rig the dress to "flex and bend" as she does. Plus, I think it will give me more control on my overlapping and secondary animation with the skirt. Now, back to work on the rig!! Thanks again guys...keep 'em coming... Word- -N
  3. Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated! Keep an eye on this thread, because I plan on rigging her, and doing animation tests on her within the next couple of days or so, and the positive/constructive feedback just keeps motivating me even more. Word- -N
  4. Hey all, I just wanted to share the progress on this character that I'm using for a personal project that I'm working on, based off of a children's book idea that I had. Feedback is welcome... thx- -N
  5. Great job guys, as usual... - -N
  6. Thanks everybody!! Here's a picture of me with my new, handsome lil' fella (and most likely future HASHER!! ) Ezra Isaiah Albrecht. Cheers to all!! Noah
  7. Well alright then ! I wanna see how it turned out. I can't wait. The suspense is killing me. Glad you liked my suggestion. -Robert Hi all, just had a baby boy today!! So, I may not be posting stuff on this for a little while, so all who are interested or have been interested in this thread, hang in there...I will post something again very soon... Cheers, Noah
  8. Thanks again for all the posts. out the head using lines only along with the regular 3D final shader, and it really looked cool. I will post a WIP of it tonight when I get home from work. Arrrgh...I can't wait!! Thanks again for all who posted...More is definitely coming very soon...I promise. Cheers, Noah
  9. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to really work on him the way I wanted tonight due to homework and shear exhaustion. However, since eventually I plan on using the 'toon' shader on the entire film, I thought I'd do a simple head test render. Comments are definitely welcome, as usual... Cheers, N
  10. Well, Kyle, it sounds like we're kindred spirits in the SW Galaxy, eh? I would definitely love to get feedback from a real SW Fan on my film, that's the true test, right? I'm excited, I'm working on his 'midsection' or chest area tonight, and am gonna tweak somethings on his head, I'll keep posting...Do you have anything I could see of yours? wrd- -N
  11. Sounds tricky! Can't wait to see the flick! (and btw, how come everybady thinks it's JaGe, when it's aqtually JaQe? ) The 'Q' in your name is lowercase and it looks like a 'g'. That's my reason anyway wrd- -N
  12. Thanks for the offer Kyle, I just may take you up on your offer, probably to use the models for reference and inspiration of course. I have yet to pen character bios on him, the 'villain' of the film, and his master. You may see glimpses of his wife and child- which will most likely play into the storyline as well...we'll see... Let's keep in touch though. I'm glad to see another SW nut on the Hash Forums!! wrd- -N
  13. Great question Chris....Actually to sum up, the whole story that is based around him has to do with his struggle being on the 'borderline' of the lightside of the force and the darkside. I'm still going through rough iterrations of the final script, but that's the 'theme', if you will. Hope that answers your question, and thanks for the compliment! wrd- -N
  14. that wasn't xade, that was me and Im VERY interested in knowing the progress, so you just post away! Sorry Mr. Jage, my bad Well, in that case thank YOU for the kind words!! wrd- -N
