  2. Hey Hashers! So I've been trying to get this glass look on a Coke bottle, but it's pretty darn hard. Anyone have a clue as to how this can be achieved? I've zipped the model and mats. Anyone wanna give it a try? Thanks in advance! GlassCokeBotlle.zip

  8. I don't think so. Just installed a new font family and AM is not reading it. I'm at a loss. Any more advice?
  9. Hi Everyone, I have fonts I need to install and wanted to know if someone knew the easiest or most effective way to do this? I'm using a Mac running Snow Leapord 10.6.3 Thanks!
  10. THANK YOU! coolest chick i have ever met!
  11. If it is not a close-up.... I think the easiest way is to make a new Action with your model. In the Action, import a Klieg light as an Action Object and place it where it needs to go. On frame 0 of the Action, set the color, intensity, cone angle etc... of the light. Also set the Y Rotation of the light to 0. In the light's Properties Panel, drill down to Object's Properties > Transform > Rotate, and right-click on the word "Rotate". In the context menu that pops up, choose "Convert Driver to > Euler". Now on frame 12 (for example), set the light's Y rotation to 360. Save the Action. Drop it onto your model in a Choreography. Set the number of times you want to action to repeat in the Choreography. That's it! now those are some major details! THANKS!
  12. Are you using it as "toon" render or 3D? I ask because with toon, you can just model a dome and animate the red/blue alternating lights - not a lot of detail... for 3D, same thing unless you want up close detail... the viewer won't see the rotation inside the light, just the resulting light... Rob hey rob! it will be 3d. don't need it to be a close up, just rotating lights. just can't figure out the easiest (least amount of rendering time) way to do it. hmmm??? ideas anyone?
  13. does anyone have or know where i could get a siren that rotates with lights? the kind that sits on top of police cars, ambulances, fire trucks etc? something that looks like this.
  14. Just to check, in you Options>folders panel, make sure the path for extensions is pointing to the folder your extensions are really in. This can get confused if you have more than one version of A:M installed. i checked and it is. only multiple copies is showing up. hmmm??? here are 2 snapshots to show you what i mean.
  15. great! now lets say i have a car in the chor with an action applied to it AND KEYFRAMES IN THE CHOR moving it down the road... i then want to duplicate the same car 5 times with the same action and CHOR KEYFRAMES but offset them. i am making a race. i know i can off set them by moving the action down the timeline, but how do i COPY AND PASTE THE CHOR KEYFRAMES ONTO THE NEW CARS? i want to keep the same properties as the first car... the size (scale) and so on. also, i tried installing the multiply and MMoP plugins but they dont show up. i am running mac os 10.5... should that matter? do they work for mac os 10.6
  16. i swear i have tried, but can't win! there has got to be a way to simply duplicate models in a chor... right? right now i have to keep importing the same model over and over into the chor and resize, move etc for everything.
  17. so here are some bad models of the hotdog, pizza slice and hamburger i created this morning. don't laugh too hard!lol junkfood.zip
  18. that is awesome! thank you so much! very cool! time to get my grub on.
  19. hey gang! does anyone have a hotdog, hamburger and pizza (full or slice) willing to donate, sell or trade? nothing fancy, just simple. thanks!
  20. You were right (as usual) about having to repair some things. Thanks for the upload!
  21. Robert, can you post that Toyota logo model on here? I'm still trying, but it just gets all messed up with creases and stuff. Yours looks wonderful!
  22. Presto! Robert the Amazing! Thanks! Took me hours and still didn't get it.lol Gonna have to figure out what's up with IL and the exporting.
  23. Hi Robert, They are continuos closed shapes with no shading or intersections. I made them in IL CS4 and saved them all as 2 files... IL CS4 and 8. ILCS4 doesn't have the 5 or 7 option. tears! This is strange, no?
  24. I've attached two more IL files. Same problem. Anyone know how to solve this? text_files.zip
  25. Hello Everyone! I've tried to extrude this IL file in AM, but AM doesn't like it. I know you have to save it as an IL 8 file, and so I did, but AM still doesn't like it. I've zipped both files. Anyone care to take a crack at it? Thanks 2_illustrator_files.zip
