So cool of you, sorry it didnt get finished in time, thanks for sharing too..... nice model BTW
Thank you, Mike...
Notice the change in the nose from one setting to the next. I am going to experiment with groups and SSS. Maybe I can group areas that need slightly shallower sss. Going up or down 10 or 20% on the extinctions from the numbers I have here gives some subtle but acceptable results. I notice that some SSS renders have a green edge to them, these settings helped me to avoid that. The SSS render looks pretty good... Thank you for sharing...

Your SSS looks so great... I have some ideas in mind and may be we can use it as a starting concept, or we can start from your concept... I still have to learn a lot as far as the animation part in AM... I think I am getting a hang of it as far as the modelling part... I am not realling good in the mechanic part, I have started to dive into with one of my model.

Hello - been working on a second tooth animation for my dentist client, the first one was the Veneers. This second one was much more challenging, I had to set up several pose sliders to get the different effects. The most interesting part was creating the "impression" which is like a lump of clay on a mouthpiece that goes in the mouth - then having it pull out w/ an impression of the teeth in the clay. Anyway, here it is if anyone is curious.
It's on my site - the lower center under section "2D & 3D Flash Demonstations" - it's the first one just click on "VIEW"

Thanks for all the help from my posts - Eric

That's amazing! Excellent work.Thank you, MasterFunk!
You came so close to getting this guy into the contest!!!You obviously made the supreme effort and your mastery of splines is growing by leaps and bounds. Its only a matter of time before you take a spot at the top of an image contest.
Many thanks for the model! <analyse mode on>
I lost my concentration due to losing my job lately and still trying to look for a new job... I decided to finish it last night and share it... , so there you have it... May be the Hereos Contest, I will make it...
Thank you, Rodney!
Wow!I was just checking all your topics and you are learning this software very fast. Great model you should finish him.
I am still learning everyday, and I hope to finish it someday... But I need to find a job first... I still need to learn the SSS from you too, because I am not sure if I got it right...
Thank you, Jirard!
Here is a complete both halves model... still more work though..

It will take place in the enemy compound. I don't really know what you mean by 'old time ninja theme.' Could you explain?
What I meant to say is that what your scene and the surrounding will look like. Will it look like those old time Japanese movies?

Your models look great. I just have couple of questions.
Where will the assassination take place?
Will this be like old time ninja theme?

WOW!!! Looking pretty good already... How many CPs are there on this model?

Fox,
By looking at your character, my answer is "NO, you dont need to texture the whole thing". I think both Gerry and Eric have brought up some good points regarding your question.

Sup Fox! (crazy like a FOX?)
I am new to A:M and not a brain of AM, but I just would like to share my point of view. There are lots of aspects involved when it comes to animation... and texturing is one of them. There are always pros and cons on everything, including texturing itself, but my single rule of thumb about texturing is this...
Details of texture is only needed when that part of the body will require a close-up scene during an animation...
just my 2 cents
Can I see what you are working on?

Hi Jake,
I'm just about to email the stuff to the email address found on your website. I hope this is okay - and it works
StormedFx - The book is excellent and covers most features of A:M. Well worth getting.
Thank you, Dale. I might have to check it out.

And Stormed FX, that will be the material needed for the exercises in the book, not the book itself.
IC! Thank you, Jake. Questions about the book...
Does the book provide detail of how to use each feature in AM?
Do those exercises cover most of AM features or just most important ones?

Hi Jake,
I have the CD to hand and can make it availailable for download tonight probably.....if nobody else beats me to it
Any good?
This would be great, and thank you for your effort. Will this be a really complete guide or just all contents that come with the book?
