Here is what my ladybug is going to look like. Any comments or suggestions?

Does anybody in here know of any good settings to use to get cartoony looking grass?

I am wanting to do good on this, so I can enter it in the image contest. My last one did not turn out so good. It was the pump jack one.

A large dark green strip with a sharp ridge in the middle with light green semi transparent hair particle over it. The blade itself could be translucent to let light shine through it. I like that idea, but the lighting would have to be perfect, to get it to look just right. Wouldn't it? Are you also saying that I should put hair on the blade of grass? Wouldn't that look weird?

Ok I have a great idea!! I am going to have big blades of grass, with one ladybug on the top of the blade of grass. A huge red flower with black polka dots will be in front of it. The lady bug will be staring at the camera with a confused look on her face. Btw, any suggestions on how I can do the big blades of grass? Could hair work, or would I have to model each individual grass?

I am working on this right now, and I am wanting people to criticize this image. I would like advice on what could make this image look better, for example, things to add to the image, etc.

well everybody, i got my laptop so i will be able to start back up on the cabin and stuff in the next week or two!! great job on princess peach jequed!!!

i am so sorry that i haven't been on here much!!! i just got a job at the county courthouse, and i am going to be on the road a lot this summer. i am going to be getting a laptop here pretty quick from the money i am making from my job. (not to gloat, but i make $125.00 a day--$625.00 a week, cough cough..) I am buying a laptop with a great graphics card so during my breaks, and traveling i can work on the film.

i believe i am better at using Kajiya-Kay instead of MuhHair. any comments, crits, or suggestions?

that really isn't what the hair looks like. the picture automatically turned yellow for some reason? will somebody just please give me some examples of the muhHair settings?

Will somebody please post an example of muhHair with the settings provided? I am trying to learn muhHair, and I honestly don't think that I am quite understanding the settings. Here is what I have achieved so far.

do these simbiont textures have real bumps maps or whatever on them? or is the texture just made to look like it?
