Dog soldiers was a brilliantly bad film! One of those awfully put together things which is as a whole pretty good! Its a nice model so far, I presume your giving him wolf paw feet? his hands look odd too! good work though.

See! 2dtv! I was laughing, thanks for the link!

P.s. once you have a character, make facial expressions and phoenomes; make walk cycles its quick to do. so do it!

Agep, If it's ok with you, I'd like to use your eye, (modified)?
Ken, thanks. I guess it is just a bit thick, but from a distance it would look better I guess. Animation is exageration.
Animation is Concentration as my Tutor would say!

Hmm, never heard of a Mando method? have you tried googling?
Yes any tutorials are always welcome!
perhaps tone down his shinyness and then animate him. The comic portrayal of him (bush) in the british animation '2dtv' was very funny and would suit this guy too!
see what you can find

Cheers! I appreciate this my eye was peaked in the center of the lens which was annoying me

Just looked at the model, Is there any reason that the whole eye is encased in 'jelly'?

Be strong Steve, I wish you everything you need to beat this.

Yes, Please share that is a perfect solution!
how would you share?!

Im interested in why you have your eyeball like that? Im having trouble with mine at the mo and wondered if you followed a tut for that?

Mr Seven -Concentric modelling involves building 'rings' or concentric circles around areas such as the mouth and eyes. It allows for better flexibility when animating. I like your Bush charicature his upperlip is spot on, and the eyes, brows etc!

I dont know, I like it this way, Gives it a 'cuteness' - It is a baby dragon after all. As long as the rest of the body fits in with this then it should look fine.
Congrats on breaking the mold!
I would change one thing however (based on anatomy - of dragons??!) see attached pic.

Aha! thank ye very much! I will have to experiment! One more question though - Can such a material be applied to an object which already has colour maps ?
Any response is greatly appriciated, Thanks for sharing your techniques.

Very nice, feels more atmospheric, If you wanted to, I think you could get away with pushing the moniter glow effect more, but as it stands it looks great.

Tell me about it! Well I'll get hold of an external case for my hard drive and use that as a backup for my mac, il have to save the pennies and get an athlon 64 and new mobo, it's time for a fresh start! - Mr jaqe - you know your stuff, can you reccommend me a budget Mobo to fit an athlon 64 ? and could you tell me why there seems to be different types of 64?
Hope you get this

I had a BIG accident with the pc today (I hate them) It's not starting up anymore and the windows cd keeps hanging the system now too, So I cant get into my hard drives! hoping that my data isn't damaged. (touch wood!) but I had a play with mocap just before and got a video across to my mac (yes, my faithful mac) I think Il do a Blit Wizbok style 'think different' parody if i can get access to my harddrives!
here is all I knowingly have left of my Gobelah'

I like the way it looks - smooth, Some modeled wrinkles in his clothes would look great, I meant his face (bumpmaps), I think he looks great in shaded mode keep that look!
Seven - I think a model exchange forum is a good idea - I'd participate when I had some more models.

Wow! Jack, you'v come along way. Im really impressed; I wish I could have got on board at the beggining now but I didn't have the time. But seriously I can't wait to see more.

Interesting project, Like the idea. The characters are nice, you could maybe exaggerate them a litte more if you wanted and as for texture, I'd make their skin a lighter shade and a little less pink (less red - more towards yellow). A simple bumpmap to show wrinkles and just give their skin some 'texture'. I'm not talking alot though, I tink simplicity is the keywith guys like this!
Good luck with the project, Im a year behind you in my BA so iv got it all to come!

Nice, Are you keeping the simlicity? or are you going to add detailed textures wrinkles etc? I ask because I think keeping it simple would work best with this guy, its a nice look.

Not a true scotsman though. But ... I think thats best for everyone here! I prefer him not to be!
Like it, this project sounds interesting, reminds me of the look of luigis mansion on the gamecube.

yeh thought so, thats an extreme case of the mo-blur - blues! if you want motion blur, use multipass and as many passes as looks smooth - it works fine in multipass.
Regards - nixie

try rendering it in multipass, or without motion blur. I think this could be due to the motion blur settings, Non multipass mo blur is erratic i think!
Let me know doug

Hmm, have you tried changing the display driver to direct x instead of opengl? or visa versa? its in options.

Glad to be back! (with am) Nice helmet, I think you should apply the texture again though, the stretching is letting the rest down! Did you try flattening it somehow?
Nice one though - Nixie
