KenH Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Has anyone successfully combined Mike Fitzgeralds COGs method with the Anzovins rig? Care to offer any suggestions for someone trying to do it? Thanks. Quote
OdinsEye2k Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Successfully is kind of a strong work. I have done it, but there is a clash between the spinal column of the TSM rig and the shoulder cog systems that cause some pretty wicked distortions in the chest area (from what I have seen so far). This is the area I would concentrate on understanding what is happening between the two systems. I might even suggest finding a way to slave the different parts of the shoulder cog to different spinal bones to see if that smoothes things out. Other than that, though, there has been no major trick. I just have a single on/off pose that turns on the Cog system and allow TSM to have its own on/off pose to activate the TSM constraints. Check out my Typical Male model to see what I mean: http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg724n/common.html Any problems in particular you have noticed? Quote
KenH Posted May 25, 2004 Author Posted May 25, 2004 Yeah I was thinking the shoulder area could be a problem. Could it be that the shoulder bone in the rig is at a 45 degree angle? I'll have to get experimenting. Quote
wwoelbel Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 I was wondering if there had been any progress on this? Has anyone tried integrating Mike's cog techniques with the new (TSM2) installed rig? Bill Quote
