markarjun Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Hi, is there a good tutorial on rigging tank treds? One that isn't material driven. I initially thought about assigning each tred to a circular path constraint, but when i tried to offset each tred to a desired position the motion path went crazy. Is there a better way? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 26, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted March 26, 2018 How exact do the treads need to be? Is it enough for each to go around the path? Does each link have to maintain exact connection with its neighbors? Can you show the model you want to do this with? Quote
markarjun Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 Hi Rob I haven't created a model yet, I'm interested in how I might go to achieve it . I would be happy for each tread to follow along a path and no they don't need to have an exact linkage with its neighbour, just follow each other. Thank-you for responding. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 27, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted March 27, 2018 I'm looking at it. I've run into a constraint problem I need to figure out. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 28, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted March 28, 2018 I have posted the first part of a tutorial in a thread of it's own... https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48566&hl= Quote
