Automata

This may not be viewable for non UK residents ( unless you have a proxy setup ?) but, if you can see it, you may enjoy it.

Its about Automata through the centuries, starting with clocks in towns and progressing to figures that can draw and write under their own motive power. It goes on to show how some of the technology developed, foreshadowed sound and computer technologies of the 20th century.

Detbear.

As it happens, I caught a bit of 'Hugo' on TV yesterday which I loved at the cinema. I bought the books recently but haven't had time to read them yet.

The BBC show is very good if you can get to see it, (?), features a lot of automata over the centuries and highlights parallels with later tech developments.

regards
