TommyDAQ2
It used to be that if you would customize which panels were open, and their location, then quit the app. It would remember where they were when you relaunch the app. However, with v18, that doesn't seem to be the case. Each time I either quit the app, or it crashes (which is still quite frequent - very disappointing), the panels are always restored to their default location. Is there a way to get the software to remember which windows I want open and where? Thanks, Tommy
Fuchur
In general it should save that if you are closing A:M. (If it crashes it will loose these infos) But in v18 there is a new feature available under View > Save Layout and View > Load Layout, which should do what you want. I am not sure if this is true for the Mac-Version too, but I think it should. (I am on the windows version and cant say if it is that way). See you *Fuchur* PS: Important: A:M needs write rights in the folder you install it too, otherwise it can not save those informations in any way.) TommyDAQ2
That's EXACTLY what I needed! Thanks Fuchar!!! (I realize it should be remembering windows, but for some reason, it hasn't been... I know it forgets everything when it crashes - at least there's backup now, but Not sure if I'm liking that yet). Thanks again! Fuchur
We are talking about menubars and stuff like that, right? Otherwise there is the option to reload the last project at start up. I usually deactivate that, but it might be what you are looking for? > Tools > Options > Global > "At start-up: Reload last project". See you *Fuchur* PS: If you can reproduce an error, please put it into A:M Reports. That way the Mac version gets more stable. For instance: On my windows pc, these things are saved exactly as it should be. And of course check the write rights of the folder just in case. I think I remember that being the cause of such a problem before for mac-users.
