Admin Rodney Posted July 10, 2013 Admin Posted July 10, 2013 Did some spline doodling today and this guy showed up. Perhaps he might amuse or be a starting point for someone. Note: This guy is NOT rigged... I'm not even sure he's worth rigging given the spline layout. He might look good in the background of an image on a shelf. The primary things I was playing with while modeling: - Specified Boolean Mouth/Tongue/Teeth (boolean mouths aren't the easiest to animate because they usually need special tweaking from all angles but they can work quickly pretty well in a pinch... it's better just not to be lazy and model the mouth) - 1 minute arm and hand (this was a speed drill to see how fast I could create a hand that looked like a hand... not very functional but... looks kinda like a hand) - Lathed leg/foot (this is a quick technique where you draw a foot from side profile view/lathe and then delete unnecessary back and tweak sides... extruding a leg downward is more versatile but with the lathing method its basically a three step (30 second?) process. "Munchkin Minion" is a reference to John Henderson's Munchkins which graced the hollowed walls of this forum many years before the yellow minions that make millions came into existence.
